“Dobre start” and dubble win for the “Ceska muszstvo”…
In the south of the Erzgebirge at the Eger is the raceway in Krasny Dvur. The raceway in Krasny Dvur is technically challenging, fast and well prepared. It was Jaromir Romancik (1, 2, 4) who profited by the overthrow of the main actor Micha Votroubec (10, 1, 1) right during the start. Luckily the crash happened down the valley so the whole drivers could duck it. Votroubec, the championshipleader was only able to get back to grade 10 after the crash. He won the following heats successfully. He struggled fairly with his opponent Romancik and won the race, but he let him go on the highest place on the podium, because they did a fair and exciting race together. In the third run, Romancik got weaker and finished the race on rank 4. He could not avert that the Dutch Maurice van Kasteren shot ahead of him.
Anyhow. Best results in their own country for the Czech Teams.
Tiziano Pevefieri did not surprise with the heat results 2, 7, 2. He made it up to rank 3 of the day and got to grade 4 on the ranking list. Maurice van Kasteren had problems getting out of the middle of the field in the first heat (9, 3, 3) after a bad start. Rank 4 of the day and exactly 100 points arrear to Voutroubec and the Dutch guy van Kasteren still stays follower. He has to work hard and concentrated during the following competitions in England (Branston) and Swiss (Amriswil) to take over leadership from the Czech guy Voutroubec. Best British driver was again Marc Hooley (4, 5, 8). Winner in Italy he just got the 4. rank of the day in Czech Republic. The sporty fair races in this class are a sign of quality. Rank 5 to 7 were completed by the British drivers Phil Mercer (5, 8, 5) and Brad O´Leary. The “German Hope” was Andre Adrian (3, 9, 10). In the first heat he had the pole position for 4 rounds. In the last heat, when he was on position 3 he hit the ground and nine of his competitors shot ahead. Anyway he could be happy about the 8. position of the day. Rank 9 went to Graziano Pevefieri (IT 15, 6, 6) who was involved in the crash of Voutroubec and had to start from the very end, too in the first heat.
10. rank went to Lee Dunham (8, 11, 11) in front of Rene Edsgaard (DK 5, 16, 12), who could not get out of the field of his great chasers, although he showed a spectacular way of racing. James Lane (GB 14, 12, 9) stayed in the same group just as the new Czech driver Morislav Jiranek (12, 10, 14). Best Swiss guy was Kim Schaffter (11, 13, 14) who leaded the front middle of the field bravely. He got his best results. Also his best results achieved the youngest participant Alexander Hübner (17, 14, 16). The 15. position of the day was the best reward for a great appearance.
